Paywat Inc. and its employees, consultants, and subcontractors comply with all applicable provisions of with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) and all other applicable confidentiality and privacy laws. We receive Student Data from School Customers as a “school official” under FERPA and only process Student Data for educational purposes only.
In accordance with Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act (“COPPA”), to the extent COPPA applies to information we collect, we process such information for educational purposes only, at the direction of the partnering School Customer and on the basis of educational institution consent. Paywat relies on its School Customer to obtain parental consent to provide our services to students under 13 years of age. If we learn we host data without parental consent, we will remove that data from our systems as soon as possible after we become aware of it.
